The PCN/UFI requirement applies in all EU and EEA countries where hazardous mixtures are placed on the market. The PCN/UFI obligation applies in all EU and EEA countries where hazardous mixtures are marketed. This service allows you to extend your existing PCN notification to more countries once the initial notification has been made by us.

You can enter the specific countries during the registration process, after you buy them. If you plan to expand the sale of your products to new countries later, you can always order additional ones.

Important exceptions and points to note

Although the system is largely harmonized, there are some differences by country:

1. Language requirements

  • The PCN must often be submitted in the country’s official language
  • Some countries accept English, but not all
  • Example: France and Spain usually require their own language

2. National requirements

  • Some countries have additional requirements or systems
  • Italy and Germany historically had their own systems (now largely harmonized)
  • In some cases, an additional national notification is required
