Extra Variation for Existing PIF
From: $332.36
- Description
- Additional information
If your product has color or fragrance variations, you can select this option. This product is part of the cosmetic assessment bundle and can only be purchased if we have already created your main PIF and CPSR.
What is included in this additional variation?
This variation is part of your existing assessment by Certified Cosmetics. It consists of the following:
- Cosmetic Product Information File (PIF)
- Part A: Cosmetic Product Safety Information – Contains data on the products ingredients, stability, microbiological quality, impurities, and packaging.
- Part B: Cosmetic Product Safety Report (CPSR) – Contains the conclusions, warnings, and justifications of the safety assessor, which ensure that the product is safe under normal use.
- Laboratory tests and results
We offer several additional options for you to choose from:
CPNP notification
The EU CPNP notification refers to the process of notifying cosmetic products to the Cosmetic Products Notification Portal (CPNP), a centralized online notification system used within the European Union (EU). The CPNP was established under the EU Cosmetics Regulation (Regulation (EC) No. 1223/2009) and serves as a tool for the exchange of information on cosmetic products between regulatory authorities and the responsible persons who place these products on the market.
Stability testing
Bothaccelerated stability and compatibility testing andthermal shock stability and compatibility tests are used to evaluate a products resistance to environmental stress and simulate long-term aging under controlled, elevated conditions to predict shelf life. Both methods also evaluate the compatibility between the product and the packaging to ensure that no leakage, degradation, or interaction occurs. The accelerated stability test lasts 95 to 105 days. The thermal shock stability test lasts 50 to 60 days.
| Feature | Accelerated stability testing | Stability testing via thermal shocks |

| Temperature profile | Constant elevated temperature (e.g., 4°C25°C45°C) | Alternating extremes (-15°C ± 2°C; +20°C ± 2°C; +45°C ± 2°C) |
| Duration | 95 to 105 days | 50 to 60 days |
| Simulation of | Time and aging | Time and aging, transport, or rapid climate exposure |
| Typical observations | Appearance, odor, color, pH, density, viscosity | Appearance, odor, color, pH, density, viscosity |
| Compatibility test | Evaluates the interaction between product and packaging | Evaluates the interaction between product and packaging |
Product Specification Test
The physicochemical parameters of a product, such as pH, viscosity, density, and color, play an important role in the safety assessment of a product. To obtain a detailed product specification report for conducting a safety assessment, various physicochemical laboratory tests are required. These tests provide information about the products properties and are used to assess the products stability, safety, and suitability.
