Extra Variation for Existing PIF
From: $248.24
- Description
- Additional information
If your product has color or scent variations, you can choose this option. This product is part of the cosmetic assessment bundle and can only be bought when we have already created your main PIF and CPSR.
What is in this extra variation?
This variation will be part of your existing assessment done by Certified Cosmetics. It consists out of the following:
- Cosmetic Product Information File (PIF)
- Part A: Cosmetic Product Safety Information – Includes data on the product’s ingredients, stability, microbiological quality, impurities, and packaging.
- Part B: Cosmetic Product Safety Report (CPSR) – Contains the safety assessor’s conclusions, warnings, and justifications, ensuring the product is safe under normal use.
- Laboratory testing and results
We offer several extra options which can be choosen from:
CPNP notification
The EU CPNP Notification refers to the process of notifying cosmetic products to the Cosmetic Products Notification Portal (CPNP), which is a centralized online notification system used within the European Union (EU). The CPNP is established under the EU Cosmetic Regulation (Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009), and it serves as a tool for the exchange of information about cosmetic products among regulatory authorities and the Responsible Persons placing these products on the market.
Stability testing
Both accelerated stability and compatibility testing and thermal shock stability and compatibility testing are used to evaluate how a product withstands environmental stress and simulates long-term aging under controlled, elevated conditions to predict shelf life. In both methods, compatibility between product and packaging is also evaluated to ensure no leakage, degradation, or interaction occurs.
The Accelerated Stability Testing takes 95 to 105 days.
The Thermal Shock Stability Testing takes 50 to 60 days.
| eature | Accelerated Stability Testing | Thermal Shock Stability Testing |
|---|---|---|
| Purpose | Simulate long-term aging and stability | Simulate long-term aging and stability |
| Temperature Profile | Constant elevated temp (e.g. 4°C- 25°C–45 °C) | Alternating extremes (-15°C ± 2°C; +20°C ± 2°C; +45°C ± 2°C) |
| Duration | 95 to 105 days | 50 to 60 days |

| Compatibility Test | Evaluates product–packaging interaction | Evaluates product–packaging interaction |
Product Specification Test
The physicochemical parameters of a product, such as pH, viscosity, density and color, play an important role in the safety assessment of a product.
To obtain a detailed product specification report for conducting a safety assessment, several physicochemical laboratory tests are required. These tests provide information on the properties of the product and are used to assess the stability, safety and suitability of the product.
