Om de veiligheid en doeltreffendheid van zonnebrandmiddelen te garanderen, vereisen regelgevende kaders over de hele wereld, waaronder de Europese Unie (EU), uitgebreide tests om claims zoals de zonbeschermingsfactor (SPF), PA (beschermingsgraad van UVA) en waterbestendigheid te staven. Om de veiligheid van de consument en de geldigheid van claims voor zonneproducten te garanderen, zijn de volgende normen en richtlijnen van cruciaal belang: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>EN ISO 24442:2011 <\/strong>&#8211; Beproevingsmethoden voor zonbescherming &#8211; In vivo bepaling van de UVA-bescherming van zonnebrandmiddelen;<\/li>\n<li><strong>EN ISO 2443:2021 <\/strong>&#8211; Bepaling van de UVA-fotoprotectie van zonnebrandcr\u00e8mes in vitro;<\/li>\n<li><strong>EN ISO 24444:2020 <\/strong>&#8211; Beproevingsmethoden voor zonbescherming &#8211; In vivo bepaling van de zonbeschermingsfactor (SPF).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>SPF testen: UVB-bescherming onderbouwen<\/h2>\n<p>SPF, een maat voor bescherming tegen UVB-stralen, is een van de belangrijkste claims op etiketten van zonnebrandcr\u00e8mes. Testen om SPF-waarden te onderbouwen worden uitgevoerd volgens ISO 24444:2019, waarin de <em>in-vivomethode<\/em> wordt gespecificeerd. Zonnebrandmiddelen kunnen niet alle UV-stralingen filteren, maar ze moeten beschermen tegen zowel UVA als UVB. Volgens de <a href=\"https:\/\/eur-lex.europa.eu\/legal-content\/EN\/TXT\/PDF\/?uri=CELEX:32006H0647&amp;from=EN\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">aanbeveling van de Europese Commissie van 22 september 2006 inzake de doeltreffendheid van zonnebrandmiddelen<\/a> en de vermeldingen dienaangaande, zijn de minimale beschermingsgraden om een zonnebrandmiddel als doeltreffend te beschouwen: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Beschermingsfactor (SPF) 6 tegen UVB;<\/li>\n<li>UVA-beschermingsfactor van 1\/3 van de zonbeschermingsfactor;<\/li>\n<li>Een kritische golflengte van 370 nm.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Producten die niet aan bovenstaande criteria voldoen, mogen niet als zonnebrandmiddel in de handel worden gebracht. De verscheidenheid aan getallen die op etiketten worden gebruikt om de SPF aan te geven, moet worden beperkt om de vergelijking tussen verschillende producten te vergemakkelijken zonder de keuze voor de consument te beperken. De volgende reeks zonbeschermingsfactoren voor elke categorie en de respectieve etikettering wordt aanbevolen:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-10121 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.certifiedcosmetics.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/spf-1-640x368.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"694\" height=\"399\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.certifiedcosmetics.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/spf-1-640x368.png 640w, https:\/\/www.certifiedcosmetics.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/spf-1-1280x736.png 1280w, https:\/\/www.certifiedcosmetics.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/spf-1-768x441.png 768w, https:\/\/www.certifiedcosmetics.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/spf-1-320x184.png 320w, https:\/\/www.certifiedcosmetics.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/spf-1-600x345.png 600w, https:\/\/www.certifiedcosmetics.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/spf-1-60x34.png 60w, https:\/\/www.certifiedcosmetics.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/spf-1-110x63.png 110w, https:\/\/www.certifiedcosmetics.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/spf-1.png 1333w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 694px) 100vw, 694px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>UVA-bescherming en PA-claims<\/h2>\n<p>UVA-bescherming is essentieel als aanvulling op UVB-bescherming, omdat UVA-stralen dieper in de huid doordringen en bijdragen aan schade op lange termijn. In de EU is naleving van de UVA-beschermingsfactor (UVA-PF) verplicht. <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>ISO 24442:2023: Deze norm beschrijft de in vivo methode voor het bepalen van UVA-PF.<\/li>\n<li>UVA\/UVB-verhouding: De EU vereist dat de UVA-bescherming ten minste een derde van de SPF-waarde is.<\/li>\n<li>PA (Beschermingsgraad van UVA): Het PA-systeem, dat oorspronkelijk uit Azi\u00eb komt, gebruikt &#8220;PA+&#8221; beoordelingen op basis van PPD-tests (persistent pigment darkening), die ook kunnen overeenkomen met ISO 24442 methoden.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Waterbestendigheid testen<\/h2>\n<p>Zonnebrandcr\u00e8mes claimen vaak waterbestendigheid, wat aangeeft dat ze ook na blootstelling aan water effectief zijn. Het testen van deze claims gebeurt volgens ISO 18861:2022. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Methodologie:  <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>In-vivotests<\/em>:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Deelnemers worden gedurende een bepaalde tijd ondergedompeld in water (bijvoorbeeld 40 of 80 minuten).<\/li>\n<li>SPF wordt voor en na onderdompeling gemeten om te beoordelen of de werking behouden blijft.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Claimnormen:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>&#8220;Waterbestendig&#8221; geeft aan dat \u226550% van de SPF behouden blijft na blootstelling aan water.<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;Zeer waterbestendig&#8221; vereist retentie na twee opeenvolgende onderdompelingen in water.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Moet je je zonnebrandproducten laten testen?
