\"\"Het controleren van cosmetica-ingredi\u00ebnten is essentieel om productveiligheid, naleving van regelgeving en consumentenvertrouwen te garanderen. Er zijn verschillende hulpmiddelen en systemen ontwikkeld om fabrikanten, regelgevende instanties en consumenten te helpen bij het beoordelen en begrijpen van cosmetische ingredi\u00ebnten. In dit artikel worden de belangrijkste hulpmiddelen en databases beschreven: Cosing, Cosmetic Ingredient Review (CIR), COSMILE Europe en INCI Decoder, die essenti\u00eble informatie geven over de veiligheid, het gebruik en de wettelijke status van ingredi\u00ebnten. <\/p>\n

Cosing<\/a><\/p>\n

Als een ingredi\u00ebnt eenmaal grondig is beoordeeld en als risicovol is aangemerkt, wordt het onderworpen aan de regelgeving in de bijlagen van de cosmeticaverordening: Bijlage II: Bevat stoffen die volledig verboden zijn in cosmetische producten.
\nBijlage III: Bevat stoffen waarvan het gebruik beperkt is.
\nBijlage IV: Bevat toegestane kleurstoffen.
\nBijlage V: Bevat toegestane conserveringsmiddelen.
\nBijlage VI: Bevat toegestane UV-filters. Het is van cruciaal belang om te benadrukken dat Bijlage I de verplichte veiligheidsinformatie specificeert die vereist is voor alle cosmetische producten, om de veiligheid van de consument tegen mogelijke gevaren te waarborgen. Bovendien moeten alle cosmetische ingredi\u00ebnten geregistreerd worden bij de Personal Care Products Council (PCPC) via het INCI-systeem (International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients). Na registratie worden deze ingredi\u00ebnten opgenomen in de Cosing database, waardoor ze gebruikt kunnen worden op de markt van de Europese Unie.<\/p>\n

Cosmetische ingredi\u00ebnten – CIR<\/a><\/p>\n

De Cosmetic Ingredient Review (CIR) onderzoekt individuele chemische verbindingen zoals ze worden gebruikt in cosmetische producten. Het CIR gebruikt het International System of Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients (INCI) om te bepalen welke ingredi\u00ebnten moeten worden beoordeeld. Het panel van deskundigen voor de veiligheid van cosmetische ingredi\u00ebnten levert panelboeken, veiligheidsbeoordelingen en andere materialen met betrekking tot het ingredi\u00ebnt of de ingredi\u00ebnten die worden beoordeeld. <\/p>\n

COSMILE<\/a><\/p>\n

Cosmetics Europe heeft op 16 februari 2023 zijn nieuwe database met cosmetische ingredi\u00ebnten, COSMILE Europe, gelanceerd. Een Europese database van cosmetische ingredi\u00ebnten om fabrikanten en consumenten te helpen informatie te vinden over de ingredi\u00ebntenlijst op het etiket of de verpakking van cosmetica en persoonlijke verzorgingsproducten. De nieuwe database is beschikbaar in 14 talen en bevat informatie over 30.000 cosmetische ingredi\u00ebnten. De database bevat met name informatie over de eigenschappen en functies van ingredi\u00ebnten, of ze door de mens zijn gemaakt en\/of van natuurlijke oorsprong zijn, en in welke soorten producten ze kunnen worden aangetroffen. Informatie over cosmetische ingredi\u00ebnten in de COSMILE Europe database kan worden doorzocht op gewone ingredi\u00ebntnamen, INCI-namen of een groep stoffen of producttypes. <\/p>\n
